News: Job Opportunities (CE Scheme): Administrator and Outreach and Membership Development Officer


Two CE Scheme positions:

Administration Worker

Applicants should have an interest in Latin American solidarity issues and some experience of office administration / finance.

 Duties to include:


-Recording petty cash transactions and maintaining petty cash float

-Issuing and payment of invoices

-Recording LASC income and expenditure on a monthly basis

-Supporting LASC with budgeting and funding proposals

– Maintaining database of LASC contacts and members

– Other daily administrative tasks


Outreach and Membership Development Officer

The Outreach and Membership Development Officer facilitates the relationships between members and those managing and working in the Centre.

An interest in solidarity issues an advantage


 Duties to include:

  • Communication with LASC’s members
  • Organising members’ Annual General Meeting
  • Explore options for involving, motivating and recruiting members
  • Identifying areas of possible volunteer recruitment and volunteering opportunities within LASC
  • Recruit, induct and support volunteers including researching and implementing volunteer policies and good practice in working with volunteers
  • Manage volunteers at events
  • Liaise and network with other organisations working in the area of voluntary work
