Movie 1: THE MOTHER OF ALL STRUGGLES
A documentary that connects attacks on land rights with the ongoing struggles of Indigenous and Black women in Brazil. The film follows the paths of Shirley Krenak and Maria Zelzuita, women who are on the front line of the Brazilian land struggle. Shirley has the mission of honouring the women and the wisdom of the Krenak warriors from the region of Minas Gerais. Maria Zelzuita is one of the survivors of the Eldorado dos Carajás Massacre, in Pará.
Debate with Shirley Krenak, which belongs to the Krenak people. She is an activist and writer trained in Social Communication. She currently coordinates the Shirley Krenak Institute, which develops various activities in the environmental, educational, social, and cultural areas. Author of the book “The protective Jaguar”, she coordinates the project “Sons que Curam” (Sounds that heal) whose essence captures the humming of birds and the noises of the forests in order to promote the healing of hearing and the strengthening of the call of Mother Earth.

Documentary: ‘Roots of the Earth’ and Kiva. To share the essence and importance of the authentic Kiva-gatherings and to give the Indigenous Wisdom Keepers – from around the Globe – a voice to share their Ancient Knowledge and ceremonies. As they can guide us to a more connected and sustainable way of life, now we still can! For we have to urgently rethink our relationship with nature! The Kiva Gatherings have been organized since 1968 – when Mexican Shaman Tigre Perez had a vision – where he saw these Indigenous leaders from all continents, in ceremony together and felt the importance of the Indigenous Wisdom to keep the Earth in balance!
