Sian Cowman, Coordinator. Sian is an activist, writer and researcher. She has a degree in International Development and Food Policy from University College Cork. She spent four years working in Bolivia with the Democracy Center on environmental issues.
She is responsible for the day to day running of LASC and the delivery of our principal development education project. You can find her on Twitter @phautify, and she can be reached at coordinator[at]lasc.ie. Days of work: Tuesdays, Thursdays and half-day Fridays.
Tomás Lynch, Education Officer. Tomás is an activist and educator. He has a degree in European Studies with Spanish and German, and spent a year living and working as a teacher in Honduras in 2013 and 2014. Since then he has worked as a teacher for several years, both in Ireland and abroad.
As Education officer at LASC, Tomás is responsible for the administration and rolling out of our development education project for secondary school students, supported by WorldWise Global Schools. This involves bringing Latin American development and social justice issues into secondary school Spanish-language classrooms.
