November 2011: Let's Liberate Biodiversity Screening
Food Action and Latin American Solidarity Centre are hosting a night of coming together and conversation on November 3rd in Seomra Spraoi.
Starting at 7pm, a vegan meal will be provided, followed by a film about seed-saving and biodiveristy. Later there will be discussion on food sovereignty in Europe and Ireland. This event is open to everyone. Hoping to see you there.

LATIN AMERICAN SUMMER 2011 SCREENINGS
Travel through Latin America with LASC this summer with our Latin American film screenings in La Dolce Vita Winebar, 5 Cow's Lane, Temple Bar.
Every Tuesday evening at 20:30 LASC will be showing a film or documentary on the screen upstairs in the restaurant. The films will take us through the whole continent, beginning in Mexico and completing the journey in the Southern Cone.
August 30th: "Patagonia: Colours at the End of the World" - uncovers a shocking truth of Government favoritism and land grabbing by the wealthy multinational Benetton from the indigenous people (the Mapuches) of Patagonia, Argentina. The documentary questions the legality of the original passing of these lands and also questions Benetton's ethical values of multiculturalism and freedom, in light of the company's dealings with the Mapuches.
Admission is free but please be aware that space is very limited so come early to avoid disappointment.
