A Tertulia is an informal social gathering of people with the purpose of discussing current events, art, literature, etc. The word tertulia is also associated with Latin America. People participating in a tertulia are known as contertulios. People may share their ideas and points of view as well as their own artistic creations (i.e. poems, etc).

LASC is organising this FREE EVENT so that people have a space to DISCUSS current Latin American issues while PRACTICING SPANISH with native speakers!

People will be invited to share their ideas and opinions in Spanish. This is a wonderful opportunity if you want to practice your Spanish speaking and listening skills, meet new people and learn about Latin America; everyone will be welcomed to this multilingual event!

Dictionaries and text books will be provided.

WHEN: Thursday 9th November at 6:30pm
WHERE: Jack Nealon’s Pub, 165 Capel St., Dublin 1
