Register HereThis session will address the current situation in regions of Colombia with some ethnic, rural and social organisations, their challenges, tensions and opportunities in a post-agreement scenario; processes such as victim’s reparation, land restitution, land and development government policies, Free Prior and Informed Consent and Consultation, as well as other ways of managing social, environmental and cultural conflict situations in these regions with some specific examples of peacebuilding from their territories.
Alejandro Valderrama-Herrera is a Colombian anthropologist currently based in Ireland who since the late 90s has learned, trained and shared experiences with diverse local communities, organisations, ethnic minorities, victims, displaced peoples and demobilised members of illegal groups, as an independent researcher and consultant all around Colombia.
